Peer pressure is responsible for this. “Get a blog, it will drive all kinds of traffic to your work, you will see tons of traffic…”
Okay, yes, all true. Now we take blogging seriously, although it doesn’t mean it will get any more serious. This is our outlet, to be able to share thoughts in word, and not always just photo, form.
Besides being able to share what we do with friends, family and clients – the blog has seemingly been a motivational tool for many people. A few public comments have pertained to this, but a few dozen more have been written privately, thanking us for the motivation to get out and live. Interestingly, we have been responsible for a move to the Eastern Sierra, a much needed break up…, a job change or two, European travel, and even four other blogs. Somehow our enthusiasm is contagious and so this will continue to be the point of the blog.
Now that our season is ramping up to full swing, we will continue to do as we have been doing; getting out with our friends, making images, traveling, and sharing it all through what means we have. Words and photos.
A chance encounter with a guru in India last year still has us marveling at what he told us. For he knew everything, even things we did not, but things he encouraged us to look into and later all proved true. Not vague things like, “you enjoy your free time and fine weather”, no, things incredibly deep and personal. Things unique to us and very specific. He just knew.
While I doubt he’s been to the blog, his first comment to me made with a bobble to the head…, “and you must write more.” So be it.
